About Somorita SurfboardsAloha and welcome! I'm Jim McBee, your congenial host here at Somorita Surfboards. Several years ago I was writing material for a Windows NT book and needed a sample company. I invented Somorita Surfboards because it sounded more fun than Acme Corporation or something like that. The name Somorita means nothing except that it is an anagram for someone's name. And no, I am not telling you who, but if you guess it, I will tell you if you were correct or not. *smile* Any time you see Somorita Surfboards in a book or magazine, that means I had something to do with it. You can think of it as my own writing "Easter egg." I created this site for my students, customers and friends so that I could more easily give out information about Windows, Exchange, Outlook, recommended reading, and web resources. I used to do all this on paper and I was going through a few trees! The server is generously hosted by Jeff Bloom and CTA. The server has a T-1 connection to Oceanic Internet. The server is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, in case you had not guessed that already. The only other association I have is through amazon.com so that you can link directly to books that I recommend on my Recommend Reading pages and purchase them securely. I use Microsoft Internet Information Server 4 and Microsoft Site Server 3.0. Site Server indexes my own site, a ton of Exchange related content as well as many other popular Exchange sites on the Internet which you can access through my Links page. What you are currently seeing is somewhere near Somorita Surfboards v0.3 to v0.5. In v1.1, I am planning to use Site Server's content management features to allow everyone to contribute.
