Jim and Matt's Travel Adventures

These pages are for the photo logs of Jim McBee's and Matt Suriya's travel adventures.  Both Matt and I love to travel.  Matt loves to take more pictures, than I do, though.

May 2005 - Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand
We started out in Bangkok, Thailand on May 22.  It is a long plane ride and quite sticky in Bangkok.  I don't think I stopped sweating the whole time. We stayed at Matt's Mom's house most of the time, hung out with his brother and sisters.  Thailand is friendly and one of the cheapest places to which you can travel.

May 2005 - Chang Mai, Thailand
While in Bangkok, we took a quick side trip up to Chang Mai.  While it is only about a 50 minute plane ride north, we took the train.  That was a 13 hour ordeal, but we got a first-class compartment, so that eased our pain just a little.  We had beds and could sleep. Chang Mai was nice.  If I (Jim) ever disappear, you can probably find me in Chang Mai.  Interesting mix of old and new.  And, for very little money a day, you get treated like a rock star.

June 2005 - Siem Reap and Angkor Wot, Cambodia
Cambodia is one of the most fascinating places to which I have ever traveled. It is about a one hour plane ride from Bangkok.  Also hot and humid.  But, nice people and a country that seems very relieved to have found peace after decades of war and struggle.

December 2004 - Lake Tahoe, California
Not much to say about traveling to Cali or Lake Tahoe.  I lived in Northern California for four years.  Still love it and miss it. Lake Tahoe is also one of the most beautiful and picturesque places to visit.  So, naturally a trip up the mountain with a camera yields some beautiful shots.

Miscellaneous pictures and around the house
Just a bunch of photos of friends, pictures around the house, and in Hawaii.
